Is "Cap and Trade" good for the environment or good for the economy?

Yes. Cap and trade will benefit the environment and the economy to a certain level. By implementing cap and trade, air pollution and the concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere can be reduced. This reduction will help slow down global warming to a certain level (which is necessary as changes in temperature affects crops, animals and also increases sea levels). Reducing global warming helps the economy in creating new green jobs which brings new technologies with it. However, while implementing the cap and trade system many industries which depend heavily on fossil fuels such as power companies may lose jobs. It has mixed results, but it should be done for the best.
