Yes. Tropical storms or hurricanes have increased in number recently in the North Atlantic ocean. This correlates with an increase in water temperature in the North Atlantic. The average number of tropical storms from 1850 to 1990 was 10. This number has increased to 15. This is due to global warming. Tropical storms not in the North Atlantic have not increased when one includes cyclones and not just hurricanes. Hurricanes might be increasing in intensity. Scientists in the southern hemisphere have not collected data for as long as in the northern hemisphere, hence less is known.

Yes, nowadays due to the various activities of the humans the tropical storms in the recent three years have been drastically increasing .This has resulted in the change in climatic condition and the economic balance such as loss of life of aquatic and eco. The solution for all this is to grow more plants and pay way for the future.

Yes, number of tropical storms in the recent past is increasing. Though this year (2009) did not have as many tropical storms that reached hurricane strength, the number and strength of tropical storms seems to have increased in the first years of this decade. There is much debate among weather scientists, researchers, and experts whether this is a recurring natural cycle or the result of the global warming caused by man.
